When you send an email, you reach out to your audience, your follower in one of the best personalized manners possible. We’re glued to our emails at work, home, everywhere and think about it most of us use the very same Email address to sign up on social networks or any website that requires an email address to start an account with.
So you can definitely understand how many mails you get in a day. I mean we are literally bombarded with emails from god knows how many people. Well heck, go check your mail box now even your spam box as well. You will see what I am talking about here. And you know there are tons of places and how to content about how to get people on your email list, but what after that. And your subscribers, at first they did like you that’s why they are on your mailing list. But once you starts sending them emails, and if your mails are not winners you could lose a lot of money. What I mean is if people don’t like the emails that you are sending they will soon lose their faith in you, and your open rates and click through rates are going to decrease drastically, and people will start unsubscribing from your list.
( yeah don’t ask those were the worst days for me I was writing my best content for e-mails and sending them out but still everything was not so good!).
So I did start to test out things and found these awesome tricks to increase my open rates, and make my e-mails stand out form crowd, and become winners, although I still do some testing because you can’t say 100% how all people will react on your email list, but these are my 11 proven secrets to get the maximum benfit for all your email marketing campaigns
So how do you make your emails stand out from rest of the other internet marketers email’s cluttering up your leads inbox and junk folder?
Here are my 11 tricks to get the most out of your affiliate marketing promotions through email marketing directly below.

1. Send Email From A Name People Know @ Trust
Let’s just say you got a mail from Mark Zuckerberg instead of Facebook how will you react? Well, I don’t know about you but I’ll freak out in a good way because if a company’s CEO is mailing me then it is sure something important! But on the other hand, if I got my first email from Facebook with the name ( Facebook in the Subject line ) then I am habitual about opening those emails up and if the next email comes from name Facebook, I know where it is from, so it depends upon your first interaction with them. So what was the name you used in your email subject line that you sent out after someone opted in your list? Was it your name or companies name? If it was your name then it’s perfect! But if it wasn’t then you can try using your name in the next campaign and then let me know the results in the comments below.
2. Use The Preview Text Feature
This is the text that follows the subject line in most email clients inbox. So preview text is what it sounds like a text preview of the content inside the email.
Let me give you an example of Buzzfeed I am subscribed to them and they sure send some awesome and funny mails everyday.
So look at them there is subject line and then a preview text about what is in the mail. But if you don’t put preview text email client will automatically pull from the body of your email.
Just Let me sum it up for you lets’ say you wants to send an email about a new coming product and it’s a coaching program about generating traffic then your subject line should be like “Are you Tired Of Not Getting Traffic?” and preview text will be like “Check Out This and Increase your traffic and conversions too”
3. Avoid Using Crutch Words
Um…So I was saying

Well, Basically
At first glance it looks like I am going to make a point here, or can’t find a line to put here, so that I did use it, but these are called Crutch Words– these are collection of words we use when we are lost somewhere to find a line mostly these are used while we speak but it does reflect in our writing too and I often use them on purpose in my blog but in emails it will do more harm than good. So choose these words wisely or simply don’t use crutch words.
4. Don’t Use All Caps In The Email Subject Line
I often see other email marketers using all caps in the subject line I know it’s a clever idea to make your emails stand out, like these for example:
ARE YOU LOSING MONEY BECAUSE OF THESE 5 MISTAKES?
GET THE BEST OUT OF YOUR EMAIL CAMPAIGN
or something like
DON’T OPEN THIS EMAIL
You know because of the low open rates I was previously getting, I started using all caps in my email’s subject lines, and I was sending my subs some good offers but people were not opening my emails so I started doing this and I started to get some good open rates, but after a few days my unsubscribe rate drastically increased, I started getting complaints too.
It was so annoying to them, and yeah, it was when I think about it, because on a daily basis if you see all caps in the subject line it will annoy you too, so I suggest you should try to avoid this email marketing tactic as well.
5. Don’t Send Discount After Discount
Who doesn’t like Discounts, and yes I am not saying here that sending a discounted offer to your subscriber is not ok, but you need to draw a line here about how often you should send promotional discount coupons, and at what times, because on holidays I sure would like to see some discounted offers in my email inbox but sending discounts too often will do no good for you, or your company. Sending too many emails promoting discounts or worse stating a sale end and then extending it with a deeper discount in another email can make your image seem untrustworthy. So use your discount wisely, to avoid losing potential buyers.
6. Send A Test E-Mail First
I wrote the body for mail got the catchy subject line and a nice preview text and then sent it to our list and Bam! It went straight into the spam folder, There is nothing worse than sending an email and later finding out that it went directly into the dreaded spam folder or the layout is way off then it is meant to be so that to avoid this I suggest you should test it before sending an email out try sending a test version to your mail id or a test account. (create an account in Gmail, yahoo, Hotmail/Live/MSN and an account using Outlook Client too) So if your email is doing fine in your test accounts, then send it to your list, otherwise fix the errors or change some words in the body or subject line to make it a good email that will get high opens and click thru rates.
Tip: Best you can do is ask your subscriber to add to you to their contact list so they don’t miss out any offer you send to them or valuable information. Because the chances are less your email goes into the spam folder or bounces if you are on peoples contact list.
7. Make Your Email Body Scannable
Now if you have followed all the above tricks I am pretty sure you will see your open rates getting high but to make a person to click on your offer link in your mail you have to make your body scannable by scannable I mean to say that instead of using one long paragraph block, break it up in short one’s include subheadings or images if you like, guide them to your link and make your mail copy easy to read. So testing is the key here, test it out and check how your subscriber reacts, because some people opens the mail and just click the link they don’t even read your mail because they only want to see what you have there to offer them so make your link visible and clear and try to add your link 2-3 times in your mail or just one’s so try and test it.

8. Send People What They Want
Now it’s a tricky one and I am still testing this whenever I get a chance. But the best trick is to send your subscribers what they want this is called “segmentation”. Yeah you heard me most of the time internet marketers just talk about it but they don’t do segments because it looks so intimidating. Of course it is! But the hardship is worth it. I am not going to talk about segmentation here but you can find out several tips for segmentation I am pretty sure there will be some blog posts about it or else just put a comment below if I see enough request I’ll write one for you here. So what does segmentation do? Segmentation allows you to target certain subscribers on your email list for a particular offer.
Let’s say you are a local business of cloths and have a sale at your store so you can send an email to the people from that particular city rather than sending it to whole list from all around the world. You can also segment on activity, email clients, country and so on.

10. Send Emails Again To Non Opens For Maximum Affiliate Commissions
You are losing out on a lot of affiliate commissions when you are promoting by not re-sending to non opens.
Remember not everyone is exactly the same we all have special circumstances in life.
One person may not open up emails every day so he or she did not see your offer.
If you change the emails subject line a bit and resend to your non opens you will make a ton more affiliate commissions from your efforts.

11. Do Not Worry To Much About Unsubscribes
If you follow all these email marketing tips, and you are worried about getting unsubscribes, don’t! Unsubscribes are just part of the affiliate marketing business, and these people were not likely to buy anything from you anyways:( I like to think of unsubscribes as a good thing like cleaning my list for me!
If you are not interested in what I have to say, or what I have to offer, then someone else will be.
These are the type of people on your email list that you want to focus your time and energy on:)
The action takers, and not the freebie seekers!
So think of it as a thanks for unsubscribing:) and move on!
Conclusion:
You know a friend of mine once told me that you cannot get everyone to like you. I mean everything can’t be perfect or ideal but if you start tweaking your habits a bit, or the way you present yourself, this can bring you closer to your goals. The same basic philosophy goes with your email marketing campaigns as well.
You just don’t know which emails may become the big time winners. At one time I sent an email with one small paragraph in the body with 2 links to my offer with a catchy subject line and at the time I wasn’t using the preview text function, and guess what i got a 30% open rate and earned a lot of affiliate commissions in the process.
You wanna know what I did differently in that email?
I took a screenshot of the video from the sales page of the product I was promoting and put that image in my email and added the link to that image, and it worked like a charm:)
People thought it was a video delivered directly into their email and when they clicked on the image to play the video it took them directly to the sales page.
So just test and try, who knows which one of your emails may become the next big winners.
