4 Quick and Easy Profit Generating Ideas You Can Use Today To Make Money Online
Guest Post By Womens Way To Wealth
Whether you’re in the “make quick money online” niche or the “create wealth from your own home business niche” you can benefit from these four powerful profit generators. They work whether you’re new to internet marketing, or experienced but looking for new ways to increase your income.
Jay is the master of affiliate marketing and his site is full of valuable content on how to maximise your income selling other people’s products. I’m here to show you some alternative ways to make money online. Even better, combine the strategies for a powerful income boost.
You won’t get rich overnight but you can generate a decent income. I suggest taking just one of these ideas and sticking with it until you reach your first goal, which may be $10 a day, or it might be $1,000. But take one idea and stick with it until it pays.
Table of Contents
1. Turn PLR into Cash
PLR? Private Label Rights. PLR products can be labelled and used as if they are your own. They can be anything from an ebook, article, video or even podcasts. So, you take a PLR product, stick your name and logo on the front, and offer it to your list as your own product.
PLR products are available from PLR libraries and are often given away as opt-in incentives, as freebies on membership sites or as a sales bonus. PLR products work well as incentives to get people to opt-in to your email list, and, conversely, you may have received PLR products yourself when you’ve signed up for a freebie or LIKED a fan page on Facebook.
I used to be of the mindset that PLR products are the poor cousin to creating original content. After all, they’re often being given away for free so they’re not going to be worth much. Or are they?
I’ve bought some PLR products, mainly ebooks and articles, and found the quality of the writing and the presentation to be poor. A major concern is that the content is not original and you don’t know where it’s appeared or how many times. In fact, I once got a warning from Ezinearticles for submitting a reworked PLR article that I thought was a good fit for my niche site at the time. Even though I’d restructured the content it was flagged up as not being original material and I lost some serious brownie points with probably the biggest article directory publisher on the web. Not good!
However, instead of looking at PLR as a mass produced commodity, think about it as a potential goldmine of information. PLR can be used as source material to create your own products. Some call this looking for diamonds in the rough. Rather than starting from scratch with a blank page and wondering how you’ll fill an 18 page ebook, you can use PLR as your starting point.
The simplest way I’ve found is to do this is to deconstruct the PLR product. When I’m creating a new product, I start with the audience in mind and the problem I’m going to solve for them. I’ll then draft a short contents listing. So, for example, for an acne product, I would target teenagers. Based on their biggest concerns about acne – easily discovered with a quick online search – I’d draft a contents list.
It might look something like this:
How to prevent acne
Foods to avoid to minimize acne
Treatments For Acne
Natural cures for acne
Homemade remedies for acne
(Ok, I’m making this up for the sake of example, but you get the idea)
Now, take your PLR product (s) and chop it up in to the relevant sections. Then cut and paste the chopped up copy into your chosen sections. I would then rewrite the copy in your own words, throw in some examples and some personal touches to make it your own, and make sure it flows well. Now have your new ebook.
Another idea is to take your poorly written PLR product and make it into a short video. Or chop it up into keyword specific articles.
You can get further value from your PLR products by breaking them down into sections and using each chapter as text for your autoresponder series, email blasts or even perhaps a newsletter. The possibilities are endless. Each application gives you another opportunity to promote your products, drive traffic and make more money.
So, dust off those old PLR products on your hard-drive and see if you can mine some diamonds.
2. Work smarter by Joint Venturing
If you have a product to sell, the classic internet marketing wisdom is to buy a domain, set up a site, and then focus all your energies – and sometime money – on trying to drive traffic to your site. You then still have to convert visitors, write the world’s best sales letter and make sales. Get all this right and you’re rewarded with a whopping 1% of visitors buying your product. No wonder so many people give up before they have even really started.
How about leveraging other people’s sites, lists and contacts instead? Find websites, blogs and forums in your niche to Joint Venture with. Find people in your space and see how you can work with them.
Get to know them through social media, contributing to their forums, commenting on their posts, and attending their events and webinars. Then see how they’re promoting themselves and their products and see about how you can offer more value to their members.
Whatever your situation you have something to offer. It may be contacts (perhaps you don’t have a huge email list but you have tons of Facebook friends), or you’re rolling out a new marketing campaign and will agree to promote their products to your list. You could do a basic ad swap or offer your fantastic new ebook to their customers (assuming it’s relevant of course).
A great tip here is to find newsletter publishers in your niche. They often have large lists and have the grinding worry of constant and regular deadlines to meet. They have to fill their newsletters, come what may. Perhaps you can offer to write an article or post for them? In exchange they will usually give you the opportunity to have a resource box or a link in your signature line, which will link back to your site or sales page.
3. Answer questions.
Visit forums, blogs, social networking sites and sites such as Yahoo answers and MySpace and find out what questions are being asked in your niche. Answer those questions and of course, don’t forget to put a link to your site in your signature line, and you’ll naturally drive traffic to your site. Then you can sell your affiliate products or the lovely new ebook you’ve created from your dusty old PLR.
You can take things a step further if you can see trends in your niche and create a report or video answering the top 3 problems in your niche.
You could also create a website answering the most often asked questions and suggesting products that will help solve readers’ problems. Add even more value by reviewing those products or comparing them with similar products. Anything that makes it easy for your target audience to solve their problem (be it information, products or reviews) will create income.
4. Provide what people need
This sounds obvious but is the crux of all marketing, and internet marketing is no different.
Visit forums, blogs and groups in your niche and see what people are looking for. For example, there are many blog and website owners desperate for copy.
If you enjoy writing, you could offer your services as a copywriter, and perhaps position yourself as a forum poster (yes, there are people that will pay you to post comments in forums on their behalf. They benefit as the signature link has a link back to their site).
Try hanging out in places where your target audience are. If, for example, if you’re in the internet marketing niche, you may be surprised at some of the questions asked in the forums.
Newbie internet marketers often need help with basic tasks such as uploading files, adding wordpress plug-in’s and other things that you may be able to do in your sleep. Offer to help them for a small fee.
More experienced internet marketers will often outsource the jobs they don’t want to do. You can offer your services for anything from keyword research to submitting blogs to carnivals, posting on forums, or any job you can think off. Think of it as being an internet marketing concierge service.
So, how will you get rich with these ideas? Find one that excites you and stick with it until you’ve made some money, even $10 will motivate you to continue.
Then rinse and repeat, rinse and repeat, rinse and repeat, until you meet your goals. You may not be a millionaire overnight but you’ll have created a proven online money making system. And that’s something to be proud of.
