Smashing Jobs

You may be familiar with Smashing Magazine, but did you know that Smashing Jobs is a great marketplace for web developers and designers? This site is based more on employers looking for workers, but it can be a great place to find paying gigs. While the job listings are only divided into three groups – design, programming and other – this can also make it easier to find jobs that are actually available rather than browsing through a lot of empty categories with no job listings.

FreelanceSwitch – This is another online community that also includes a section for people looking for workers as well as those looking for work. From web designers to coders to creative types, you can find work here fairly easily.
Dribble – This website is a cross between Pinterest and a job marketplace. It focuses on web design primarily, but it’s a great place to show off your skills as well as look for new gigs.
