Hi everyone and welcome to my video! In this video, I’m going to show you what Flipboard is and I’m going to also show you a complete demo on how to use Flipboard effectively. This is going to be for marketers. Anybody can use these tips, but it’s going to be specifically geared towards marketers and how to use Flipboard, how to get started, how to get set up, how it works, and what to do to start seeing some traffic using Flipboard.

Overview of Flipboard

So, with that being said, I’m going to go over the main bullet points of what Flipboard is. I’m going to come back here and show you how this is all set up, how to create a board, and then how to flip stuff you find on the internet into your boards so you can eventually get traffic from Flipboard, which is the whole point of it. So, let’s dive in!

What is Flipboard?

First off, Flipboard is a personalized news aggregator. It curates news and stories based on your interest, combining articles, videos, and social media updates in one place. It’s got that interactive magazine style, similar to Pinterest but not quite the same. It’s easy to use, easy to understand, and offers a sleek, easy-to-read format with an engaging and visually appealing design that mimics a traditional magazine.

Getting Started with Flipboard

Download and Install

Getting started is simple. You’re going to download and install the Flipboard app, then sign up and create an account to begin personalizing your news experience.

Customize Your Feed

You want to select topics of interest and follow specific publications or users to tailor your feed to your preferences.

Exploring Content

Next, use the search function to discover new stories and save or share your favorite articles with just a few taps. It’s really easy to use.

Creating Your Magazines

Collect and organize articles in custom magazines and share them with others for collaborative curation and discovery.

Practical Demonstration

Now, I’m going to show you how to use Flipboard. Let’s go back over to Flipboard’s main page. It’s similar to Pinterest but not quite. If you use it correctly, you can get a lot of traffic from it. These flips are all personalized towards me. You can see I’ve got politics, AI stuff, and marketing stuff.

Flipping Articles

For example, if I want to share an article about AI video editing for YouTube creators, I copy the title, click the plus (sharing) button, select the board, and paste the title using Control+V. Click add, and it’s flipped onto the board.

Creating a Board

When you first get started, create a board that you’re interested in and that people are going to be interested in, which could potentially get a lot of traffic. Set up Flipboard, download the app, select your interests, and create a board.

Adding Content to Your Board

I have many boards. For example, a health and fitness board can attract a lot of traffic because it’s a multi-billion dollar industry. Add a short description to let others know what you collect and share in your magazine. You can use ChatGPT to create a human-like description easily.

Sharing Other People’s Posts

Flipboard wants to see activity. Share other people’s posts and your own periodically. This contributes to the community and avoids spamming, giving you better results.

Example of Sharing

If you find a health-related article, copy the title, go to your health and fitness board, paste it, and add the link. Make sure you see a picture pop up to know you’re good to go. Repeat this process for different topics and boards.

Building Traffic with Flipboard

Consistency is key. Post to your boards every day, about 5-10 times. Over time, you will build traffic. Some people get up to 50,000-100,000 visitors a month from using Flipboard consistently. Share other people’s content and your own in a balanced manner.
