There are a few offers that I have personally been promoting for years, and it’s very easy to see how small increases multiply over time.

So what’s the first great way to increase your affiliate earnings?

Here is how.

I’m not referring to offer bumps located on secure checkout pages.

I’m referring to actually asking for a bump in commissions.

Now, before I continue on any further it’s important to keep something in mind.

  • You always need to know the right time to ask for a bump in commissions.

Sometimes it’s very easy to find out.

For example, many Clickbank offers specifically want to give you a bump in commissions.

It might sound weird that a vendor gives away 90% commissions, but there are reasons for this which usually include:

They want you sending traffic (as opposed to some other offer in the niche). They make all of their money on the backend (and are happy just getting new customers).

There’s always going to be times where you can just simply ask for a bump in commissions. However (when it comes to Clickbank offers), I recommend doing this after you’ve made some sales.

Here is an example of something you could say after making 10 sales or so:

Hey, I’ve been promoting XYZ system with Facebook ads and it’s been converting very well for me. However, I’m pretty much breaking even at the time and I was curious if I could get a small bump in commissions to help me be in profit. That would allow me to promote this offer even harder. From the 70K or so people I had on the fan page, I was making around $100 a day. Not bad for just starting out with affiliate marketing, but then I decided to change up offers.

  • I looked around to see what other affiliates were promoting.
  • I even asked a few CPA managers to see what was hot at the current time.

It didn’t take very long to find a winner either (thanks to one of the CPA managers).

  • So I immediately switched out offers.
  • Then my income jumped from $100 a day to around $300-$500 a day.
  • The affiliate offer that you promote can either make or break you.

Nothing else changed, and there wasn’t any new traffic coming in. Same traffic source and the same audience. I’ll never forget this story, as it was the first glimpse into the importance of the affiliate offer you promote. So, what can you learn from this? Here are a few tips when it comes to picking the right offer.

Make Sure You Get Paid The Most

Many times, an affiliate offer can be on multiple networks. So make sure that you’re promoting the one that actually pays you more per sale. An extra $5 per sale goes a long way over time (as we talked about in offer bumps).

Recurring And High Ticket Offers

So if you were to get anything out of this article? It would be to promote recurring and high ticket offers. Doing so can allow you to accomplish two important tasks:

  • You get paid a ton more from your efforts.
  • You get paid month after month (even after the first sale).

Plus, promoting high ticket offers isn’t as difficult as many people make it out to be, as you are usually sending traffic to a webinar in the first place. These are my two favorite types of offers, and I recommend you look into finding offers that fit into one of these 2 categories. So instead of sending your traffic straight to an affiliate offer? You want to send them to some type of presell (or bridge) page. The beauty of this strategy is that it can be done in many ways. Here are a few examples.

  • You can send to a YouTube video.
  • You can send to a landing page (with bonuses).
  • You can even send to a blog post (with more information about the offer).

I utilize all of these, and it really depends on your preferences. Sometimes you can combine them, too. For example, I send my traffic to a landing page that has my YouTube video embedded on it. The reason I do this is that they won’t get distracted from all of the other videos on YouTube.

  • They have my single video on the landing page.
  • And then under it is going to be a button with a call to action.

It makes it much easier for your audience to focus that way. Or you can simply send your traffic to a page on your blog.

  • This could include a review.
  • It could be a battle post (Product A vs Product B).
  • And there’s always the opportunity to include bonuses as well.
